Assisting the head chef and kitchen crew with all aspects of food preparation, production and service at our restaurant and catering business 'The WeeCOOK Kitchen' at Broughty Golf Club. You will receive on the job training and support plus attend college one day a week to gain professional chef qualifications.
What might a typical day in this job look like?
Working in a happy hot busy kitchen with a crew of friendly staff including the business owner and the head chef to ensure all food served to our customers is prepared to the high standards expected. Cooking and preparation of ingredients is a big part of a typical day however, team work, speaking to customers, food safety responsibilities, cleaning, stock rotation, washing up, and hard physical work are all part and package of a shift in our kitchen. We also cater externally, so you could be working at a festival, a farmers market or other events and venues.

What qualification or qualities are required?
No qualifications necessary. Mentoring and training is given on the job in addition to 1 day a week which will be spent in college to gain professional qualification.
