Job Description

This one year Modern Apprenticeship is based in Dundee House, working full time 37 hours. The Modern Apprentice Scheme is focused to target high youth unemployment in the Dundee Area and the funding for training is only available for candidates aged 16 to 19. Please ensure, if you are applying for a Modern Apprentice post, that you are between the ages of 16 to 19. You will be asked to bring proof of age with you if you are invited for an interview.


You will have a minimum of 3 National 4 qualification passes to include English or equivalent.
You will provide, as part of a team, an efficient, effective and high level reception service to the public dealing with enquiries in relation to a wide range of Council Services through telephone, face to face and email.

The Individual

You will have knowledge and understanding of IT systems and good communication skills, both written and verbal, te ability to organise own workload, use initiative and work as part of a team. An interest in working with people, a pleasant, friendly and outgoing nature, honesty, reliability and a calm disposition are also required, along with good timekeeping and an understanding of the importance of confidentiality. You will be motivated and committed to completing full Modern apprenticeship including SVQ Level 2 in Business & Administration.
