Catesbi is looking for volunteers interested in improving lives of children with autism, learning difficulties and additional needs through the dissemination of research in Applied Behaviour Analysis. Volunteers will come across fascinating research done into Behaviour & Learning and will gain knowledge in areas which are not being fully explored in Scotland yet. This will make a significant difference for the wider public to access research papers. Together we will help parents to choose the best possible intervention for their children and teach them new ways of improving socially significant behaviour. We will be able to upskill professionals working directly with children with additional special needs.
Organisation aims and objectives
Our aim is to improve lives of children with autism using Applied Behaviour Analysis. We do is by offering training to: - Families of Children in need of behavioural intervention to increase the child’s life skills, communication skills and independence. - Professionals working with children with developmental delays to up skill them and being able to teach using evidence based strategies.
An interest in research. Interest and/or experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis and Autism. Will be confident to research material from the internet. and able to work under own initiative, find links and sort research into categories. Also able to use Dropbox and Skype
