Community cars - Driver

Community cars is a local charity which provide an accessible volunteer led, door to door car service.

They are developed by local people, we promote independence and social wellbeing in Dundee's over 65 community.

Through the friendly group of dedicated volunteers they provide over 100 journeys a month that would otherwise not be carried out or be expensive to the customer. These include but are not limited to; Family visits, Medical appointments and social services.

By becoming a driver you can help reduce the risk of isolation and increase activity within the community; you can help someone who is struggling financially to visit a loved one in hospital, someone with mobility problems do their own shopping or assist someone with additional support needs to visit new places.

The good news is you can do all of this by providing at least 1 customer journey per week. Community cars is responsive to our customers needs which allows this volunteer role to be flexible enough to fit around your schedule including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
