Based at Secondary Schools in Dundee initially Harris Academy and Grove Academy working full time, 37 hours per week.

The Modern Apprentice Scheme is focused to target high youth unemployment in the Dundee Area. Funding for training is only available for candidates aged 16 to 19 or disabled/care experienced applicants under the age of 30. Please ensure, if you are applying for a Modern Apprentice post, that you meet one of these criteria.
You will have one Higher in a science subject (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics) and two Nat 5's, one of which should be English and one an additional science subject.
You will assist and participate in providing an efficient technical support service throughout the Children and Families Service. You will support teaching staff to deliver learning and teaching activities. You will assist in providing repair and maintenance of materials and equipment. You will learn relevant Health & Safety Regulations and ensure they are adhered to.
You will have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and IT, you will have good communication skills both oral and written and good time management skills.
You will be able to work with supervision and as part of a team and take instruction and direction. You will have the ability to use initiative and problem solve and have good planning and organisational skills.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council
