Library Assistant-University of Dundee

Dundee University Library & Learning Centre (LLC) provides lending, research, study and information technology facilities to the University’s staff and students. It operates from the Main Library, Duncan of Jordanstone Library on City Campus, the Robertson Trust Medical Library at Ninewells Hospital, and the Nursing and Health Sciences at Kirkcaldy (Fife campus).



Your priorities will include:

Assistant Director (Service Delivery)



The duties attached to this appointment will include, but will not necessarily to be confined to, the following:

Opening and closing library

Help students/staff/other library users

Answer online chat enquiries

Shelving/shelf tiding

Use Library Management System to arrange library memberships

Maintain evening/weekend usage statistics

Project work as and when required

Such other duties as may occur

The hours of work are 9 per week, usually 4pm-9pm on Tuesdays and 10am-2pm on Saturdays. Flexibility is required to occasionally cover absences in the team. Occasional additional evening/weekend work is also required.
