Dundee & Angus Wood Recycling Volunteer

We're on the look out for more volunteers, no woodwork experience necessary.

I set up the Dundee & Angus Wood Recycling as a social enterprise to try and help people to gain work skills, specifically adults with learning disabilities. We now have a great team of volunteers from all walks of life and abilities but due to demand we would like to offer more places.

You'll be shown how to make a range of wooden products, under the instruction of a time served joiner.

You could be unloading incoming wood, dismantling pallets, painting, sanding and constructing items such as log stores, planters, fences, mud kitchens and a host of other items for our customers. No two days are the same and we never know what we'll be asked to make next.

Minimum age is 18 but there's no age limit. If you're retired and have skills you could pass on to others please get in touch, not restricted to woodwork either.

We can help with providing references for potential employers if required. If you're on benefits or a low income we'll help with bus fares.

We're open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 09.30 to 1pm. You can do anything from a morning/afternoon to a few days, whatever fits in with you.

Our location.
